NMN 2-2-2 (Nomex-Mylar-Nomex) 24" x 36" Insulation Sheet is a high-performance, three-ply flexible triplex laminate designed for demanding electrical environments. Engineered by bonding calendered Nomex® paper to a core layer of polyester (Mylar®) film using a high-temperature adhesive system, this structural composition guarantees zero blistering or delamination under intense thermal stress.



   The balanced triplex construction yields the best of both materials: the internal Mylar layer supplies outstanding dielectric shield integrity and initial tensile properties, while the outer Nomex layers contribute superior long-term thermal aging stability, excellent varnish absorption, and edge tear resistance.
Applications

Primary Applications

  • Electric Motors & Generators: Ideal for slot liners, wedges, phase-to-phase insulation, and coil wraps in Class H systems, as well as heavy-duty or specialty Class F motors.
  • Transformers: Excellent choice for ground, barrier, and wrapper insulation layers in dry-type transformers.
  • Industrial Electronics: High-temperature masking, barrier sheets, and mechanical component shielding in environments reaching up to 180°C.
